“You should get used to taking the bus.”

That’s how my talk with my dad about me getting a new car concluded today. If you didn’t know, my car broke down last week for the last time and it’s now out of commission. I’m currently staying at friends’ houses and taking the bus/trolley to and from school. It’s a….humbling experience.

It’s one thing to not have a car, but another thing altogether to have had a car for years and suddenly not have one. I have a weekly routine in place, I’m always on the move, I’m always doing something. With school, work, two bands, and the frequent partying, to all of a sudden go without a car is quite an inconvenience. However, I’m not one to complain. I try my best to be appreciative of what I have so I’m definitely not going to bitch about not having a car when thousands of students at SDSU are doing fine without one.

I honestly think this happening is God’s way of whipping me into school mode. I want to look at the bright side of things, and as much as I hate to admit it, maybe me losing my car is a good thing, yenno? I already posted about how important it is that I shine this semester, maybe not having a car would force me to stay home on some weekends or to not bust random adventures on weekdays? It’s gonna be hard to do all that I do without a car but I’ll find a way to make it happen.

But that Prelude my friend is selling for 45 does tickle my fancy >:)
The good thing is, my parents are looking for a car and everything, they just want me to learn the bus system for the time being.
